They're in the midst of getting rid of the Honors program; my class was the last Honors English 10 class at Troy. In terms of student life, there are tons of clubs, with a club fair so you can learn about all of them. I personally enjoy the snowboarding club, and plan on joining HOSA and chemistry club. The instrumental arts program is fantastic, especially if you don't mind signing your life away to obligations, ESPECIALLY as a percussionist. Those are the main points about Troy High!... At North, it didn't matter where you lived, what color your skin was, or the clothes you wore because the school was inclusive and a safe place for students to be themselves.I had a relatively positive experience at GPN, between the academics and sports that were offered. Although I had many highs at Grosse Pointe North, when I first arrived at the school on my first day of sophom*ore year, I didn't think too highly of the environment. It seemed to be very secluded and chaotic, something I wasn't used to coming from a small high school in Windsor Ontario. I felt like I didn't belong in a school this large and it was overwhelming. But then soccer changed it all. My Soccer team won the Division 2 state championship in 2023 which changed the way our school community viewed girls sports. We were the first team in many years to accomplish a victory this big, and I will remember this time at the school the most.....
